A lundi bag can last a lifetime. We take great care in the choice of our materials, whether leather or cotton canvas. These materials are hard-wearing, but still require a minimum of maintenance to keep them looking their best.
CARE FOR OUR SMOOTH AND GRAINED LEATHERS
Both our smooth and grained leathers are full-grain leathers, which have undergone a semi-vegetable tanning process. To find out more about this tanning process, click here.
Particularly resistant, leather is perfect for accompanying you everywhere, every day. However, it remains sensitive to light, weather and everyday use... so it's a material that can change shape and appearance according to the adventures you live with it. Taking good care of it will ensure that it ages in the best possible way. To do this, just 3 steps:
1. Cleaning: it's important to regularly remove any impurities and dirt that may be deposited on your product. A damp cloth with a little soap will do the trick. For more persistent stains, you can apply our Cleaning Lotion developed by the Saphir brand.
2. Nourish: leather is a material that needs to be regularly nourished to guarantee its durability over time. This operation should be repeated 3 to 4 times a year, depending on the intensity of your use. We suggest our Saphir Rénovateur Cuir Tannage Végétal. Our polishing glove will also help you to finalize this operation and restore the shine to your leather.
3. Protect: water, snow and other liquids can stain your leather. Waterproofing it with our Super Invulner is the ideal solution to protect it from everyday aggressions.
CARING FOR OUR SAFFIANO LEATHER
Unlike our smooth and grained leathers, our Saffiano leathers benefit from the natural protection provided by the surface lamination that gives them their characteristic grain. Maintenance is simple :
1. Cleaning: A little soap with a cloth soaked in clear water. Use gentle, circular movements.
2. Nourish: Apply Saphir's Rénovateur Cuir Macadamia once or twice a year. This will help keep it in perfect condition for many years to come.
CARE FOR OUR COTTON CANVAS
Our cotton fabric already has a water-repellent and stain-resistant treatment that prevents any liquids from soaking in. Even so, regular maintenance is necessary to prolong its life, while keeping it clean and as bright as on the first day.
1. Cleaning: Remember to regularly dust your bag with a small brush once or twice a month, depending on how much you use it. Should stains appear on your canvas product, simply wipe with a damp cloth and a little soap, then rinse with clean water.
2. Waterproofing : From time to time, you can apply a waterproofing product. Our Super Invulner is the ideal solution for protecting it from everyday wear and tear.
